What To Expect

The Hope Institute's FREE Homebuyer Education Course includes six classroom sessions on Wednesday evenings, plus individual sessions with your homeownership counselor scheduled at your convenience. (To request more information about the program, click here.)

  • In class, you'll be with people who share the same goals and dreams you have.  Together, you'll cover managing your household budget, improving your credit, finding a great mortgage deal and much more!

  • You'll also meet privately with PBCIP's homeownership coordinator, a nationally certified housing counselor, who will help you set up personalized steps and a timeline to reach your goal of home ownership.  You'll know exactly how and when you'll be ready for the house of your dreams!

  • When you're ready to buy, PBCIP's homeownership coordinator remains available to answer your questions and be sure you've found the best possible mortgage deal, and the best house for your money.

PBCIP’s Hope Institute is a HUD-certified housing counseling agency. Instructor Miosha Lawrence is a NeighborWorks America certified Professional Housing Counselor and a Foreclosure Intervention Counselor.
