PBCIP's Haddon Avenue Street Festival 2012

Come meet Uncle O from Power 99's Hot Boyz at this year's Haddon Avenue Street Festival on Saturday, September 29.  PCBIP is also bringing back Parkside's own Yung Poppa, plus the ever popular Camden Sophisticated Sisters step team.

This year's festival will run from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, September 29, along Haddon Avenue between Kaighns and Mechanic.

We're now accepting registration for food and retail vendors and social service providers. Tables are available on a first-come-first-served basis, and a few are still available. To join us, contact Sade Bryant at sbryant@pbcip.org or (856) 964-0440.

As always, admission to the festival is free and there are plenty of kids activities at this family-oriented event. Kids can enjoy zoo animals and the moon bounce, and team mascots.

Fun Day

Fun Day was not held in 2010 due to construction in Farnham Park. Plan to join us next year in a beautifully renovated park. Check back for opportunities to volunteer, donate and attend.

Fun Day is held on a Saturday afternoon each year in Farnham Park and includes a traditional family picnic with free food, pony rides, moon bounce and contests for children, double dutch, face painting, music and dancing. Providers are invited to offer health screenings and distribute information on health and social services available to Parkside residents.

PBCIP’s Haddon Avenue Street Festival

Thanks to all who participated in PBCIP’s 2010 Haddon Avenue Street Festival on September 17!

It was our most successful festival to date thanks to the hard work of volunteers, vendors and performers. The event attracted our largest crowd to date with dozens of vendors, kids’ activities and entertainment by Exit 45 and Capp City Productions talent Hamillionz, Porta Rich, Yung Poppa, and many more. Check back for next year’s event date and also volunteer and vendor opportunities. Be part of something big in Parkside!

Jazz Brunch

PBCIP’s Jazz Brunch Fundraiser “Jazz Over Easy” features local jazz talent and Parkside’s own Daille Winston Kettrell, a fixture on the New York and North Jersey jazz and festival scene. The brunch is a major fundraiser for PBCIP, featuring great food, music and dancing and a phenomenal silent auction. Check back for our next fundraising social event in 2011.
